Windows Vista Upgrade Coupon

I'm building a new PC soon, so I figured I'd simply get an OEM version of XP Pro and ghost the drive after installing everything. As I looked around on newegg, I found this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16832116175

I looked around for some information about this upgrade program. An article said that people buying "vista compatible" PC's from vendors can get an upgrade to Vista when it comes out. I'm guessing it's only the upgrade version and not the full one? HP is doing this for free, while Dell is charging a fee. And if I buy this, my upgrade to Vista will be completely free too... or do I have to send Microsoft some money before I get it?

Thanks

From my understanding you will be able to buy a discounted (free unlikely) version of Vista Business from newegg with that coupon. It seems you deal with the vendor who sold you XP/MCE rather than Microsoft.

I tried to sharpen up Newegg's form, but it's tough to read the whole thing. It says "Upgrade Version of Wndows Vista Business".

Interesting point here....
Traditionally, "Upgrade versions" either have to be installed on top of a previous version OR you have to feed it a disk containing a previous version. But, historically, Upgrade versions include an entirely NEW Key number, and don't ever ask for your old Key.

I wonder if that's going to change with Vista?
