Windows Vista RC2

Is it an issue with Vista RC2 that you cannot do a restart, or what? I've read many articles about it not being good...I have the problem too....when I restart, Vista exits, and then my videocard stops outputting a signal...my comp just sits there. I have to hard reboot, or cold boot to get anywhere. Any solutions?

Edit: I've seen the solution involving a VIA RAID controller. I have not VIA controllers...so that suggestion is no good....

Athlon 64 FX53
BF nF4 Ultra
2x 74 GB Raptors in RAID 0 (Win XP off of this)
1x 160 GB Seagate SATA drive (Vista)
2 GB of OCZ RAM
eVGA 7800gt.

Thanks!

RA.

Try finding the xp driver for your SATA controller and install that. If that doesn't work ditch rc2 and go with build 5728. RC2 sucks.

I've got the SATA drivers installed....it recognizes my drives fine. Just doesn't want to reboot for me. I've heard too many bad things of other build of VIsta. That, and my processor is always at 35% utilization or higher in RC2. If Vista release is anything like this, I won't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Thanks.

Thanks.

The other builds of vista are fine. I also had high cpu usage with this build but did not with 5600 or 5728.
