Windows Vista PreRC1 - Text not highlighted when selected in Office 2003

I am running Windows Vista Pre RC1 and MS Office Pro 2003. Whenever I select text in Word 2003, the text is not highlighted. The text gets highlighted in every application just fine. Any ideas?
