I'm thinking about getting Windows Vista Home Premium oem version since it can be had for $120 on newegg. Is it possible with oem version of windows vista home premium todo the anytime upgrade to Windows Vista Ultimate? If so, how much would it cost? If it possible, down the road, I'll most likely do the anytime upgrade to ultimate.

Anytime upgrade is possible, after purchase insert the DVD and begin upgrading 🙂

Home Basic --> Home Premium: $79
Home Basic --> Ultimate: $199
Home Premium --> Ultimate: $159
Business --> Ultimate: $139

thanks for the info

One other question, does Microsoft sell additional licenses for oem versions or just for retail versions of windows? I know awhile quite back, I bought right from microsoft website 2 additional windows xp home upgrade edition retail license.

OEM versions do not qualify for additional licenses.

I have a suggestion. Buy Ultimate Upgrade for $259 and get additional license for $49/$99 through MS family discount offer
