Windows Vista default programs

This problem just started popping up within the past 2 months. For some reason my MP3s no longer open with iTunes. For a while they opened with this other program that I used for transcribing files, but I uninstalled it because it was annoying to me to constantly have to right-click > open with > etc. The weird thing is Windows has my default MP3 program set as iTunes, but every time I still have to right-click > open with then the iTunes dialog box pops up saying that it's not the default program for all audio files, even though it is.

I'm sure there's something I'm overlooking here, but I'm really not sure what it is. I've been running this box for almost 2 years now and never had this happen.

Try holding down the Shift Key then right clicking on an MP3. Select "Open With" from the menu and choose the app you want to open the files. Make sure you check the box "Always use this program to open files of this type" box then ok it.
