So I got Vista Business today, I get it installed and install all drivers. I then try to run a speedtest at www.speakeasy.net/speedtest. This site requires Flash to be installed. I click the link.....the "information bar" at the top prompts to install the ActiveX control. I do, another bar pops up and says "Due to my security settings, I cannot install this ActiveX control".

I spend the next 20 minutes trying EVERYTHING under the security options under Internet Options. Enabling all prompts, enables, everything. Nothing will allow me to install these simple scripts.

Is this only in Vista Business? Can I work around it? Should I just upgrade to Vista Ultimate or does it have the same problems?

Did you try installing it from adobe.com?

I have Vista Business (64bit) and Flash installed fine in IE7 with all security settings at the default levels. I already had it installed in FF2 with no probs.

Your topic summary says you're having a problem with Java, too? I also have no problem with Java. http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
