Your DL keeps getting cut off. You need a DL manager or use a torrent. That's the x86 ISO, which I have a torrent for in the OP.

its not being cut off... thats the total size of the download with a DL manager it still says 13 megs... or 640k..

thats the end of the download..

Yeah that's been happening to me too.

But good news! I just realized that I finished DLing x64 thru the Akamai DL manager MS had on their site!!! I'm going to torrent this and link it up here

But what file size is it? I had uber-fast DL speeds, but the files were only 400MB or 13MB.

I can't get to the download pages with a server swamped message. The direct iso link for the x64 version (which is the one I want) is only 134MB and that is definitely not right. The 32Bit iso link seems right at 3.2gb.

Anyways, hopefully someone will post some torrents to the 64 bit version soon


BTW: I was only getting 38-40 KB/s download speed when my connection can go up to 380KB/S or so. They seem to be very swamped right now.

The link itself is fine, but depending on your client it doesn't want to work right sometimes. I used GetLeech, FF, and IE; FF & IE reported a 14MB DL, GetLeech a 400MB.

If someone can help me get the damn torrent up I'll seed the x64!!

Microsoft seems to have it together today, I pulled down the x64 ISO a couple hours ago in just over an hour. I was pulling 900-1000K the entire download (maxing out my connection).

I'm not sure if a torrent is necessary at this point.

Anyone used getright to download this, and if so did your download work? I downloaded the 64bit version using get right twice now and looks like it finished but when I mount it using daemon tools I get "h:\ is not a valid win32bit application." Don't tell me I need XP64bit to open this cause i thought this was the installation disc for vista64bit version? When I used winimage to open it I get a lone readme file that says I need a OS that reads "UDF" file system. This sucks. I dont have a dvd burner so i was gona use the workaround posted earlier to install it.

Edit - I'm also under bandwidth limits so i just wasted 8 gigs. I know, sh!tty isp.

LeechGet is grabbing incorrect file sizes for some reason, both he x86 and x64 were wrong.

FlashGet worked great for me, x86 overnight & x64 two hours ago.

The files 4.01 gigs but get right makes the file before downloading so I have no way to tell how much it really downloaded. The only thing is the download was cleared from the manager so I assumed it finished the download.

Just sounds like it was a bad download, not many people are having luck with third-party DL managers at this point.

Which link are you using? I got the same "We're too busy right now" but FlashGet didn't have an issue downloading the ISO directly.

If you need keys you may have trouble, but I got my keys last night.

As for setting up a torrent I've never done it but if you want to do the dirty work I'll seed. I'm only on a cable connection though so I'm afraid it won't be terribly helpful.

Burning the x64 ISO now, but my only x64 machine is kind of dead at the moment so I can't actually use it yet.

So far Nero hasn't had any issue opening/burning it though, which is encouraging.

I'm using GetRight, and it's coming down the line at 2400KBps (yes, 2.4 Megabytes a second).

Should be done in 20 mins or so.

LeechGet did the exact same thing with me. 320 something for the x86 and 400 something for the x64. Almost looked to be exactly 10% of the file sizes but I didn't pay too much attention once I realized it was obviously wrong.
