I've posted something in FS/FT as well, but I thought I might check here since I saw a few threads pertaining to the use of the Anytime Upgrade discs. I have a laptop (I bought used) that shipped with Vista Home Basic, and was upgraded to Premium by the original owner. Of course, he lost all the media he had for the laptop before selling it to me. I'm looking forward to doing a format/reinstall, and just had to pay $40 to order a system restore disc straight from the manufacturer (Acer). I have the activation key for the Home Premium upgrade, but not the Anytime Upgrade DVD. I'd rather not pay some joker on Ebay for a disc that doesn't have much value by itself (w/o a key), so I figured it wouldn't hurt to check here and see if by some miracle, some kind soul here might have an extra disc they'd send me for the cost of postage. Let me know, and thanks in advance for any replies. ;)

At one time, you could get a Vista Anytime Upgrade DVD (JUST the DVD) from the Anytime Upgrade web site by following these directions.

I know that changes have been made in the Anytime Upgrade system and I don't know if the linked procedure (from January, 2008) still works. If it does, the DVD alone was less than ten dollars.

Unfortunately they must have changed the availability of replacement discs...I just went through the checkout all the way to the confirmation page, and there was no separation of license and media, only a bundle kit. Thanks anyway for the info, I had tried to find it yesterday on the MS WAU site and couldn't find it, I thought maybe I was just blind or missed it somewhere inconspicuous.

No bites in FS/FT yet, giving it until later today and then I guess I'll order one from Amazon or something :\

Obvioiusly, I'd missed that link, too.

Thanks to blazer.

Hmmm..why does MS charge $3 more for the Ultimate DVD, since they should all be identical DVDs?

Well, I guess you can only order these discs if you enter a key in the order page from the older downloaded versions of an Anytime Update...the key that I have with my installation will not work, and therefore I can't order the discs from there. Oh well, I ordered one from Amazon.com today so I took care of it. Thanks for the input guys :)
