Just installed SP2 64 bit edition. Took about 30 minutes on a Q6600 with 8GB ram and WD 640GB drive. Will report any issues or improvements as I find them.

Not digging deep here but the only thing that I've noticed, at that is subjective, is that it feels faster than SP1. Things seem to load much quicker upon 1st starting them up (things always load faster the 2nd time you start them up...8GB of memory usually guarantees that).

You know I was going to say it feels more snappy but then thought nah they'll say its your imagination, regardless Vista is running sweet so far with no issues.

Aren't RTM's still not the final version? I know what RTM means but I've seen in other instances that things could still be changed before they are released to public.

RTM = Release to Manufacturer. IOW, released for creating the optical disk and also slipstreaming into new editions of Vista. RTM is normally final. However, having said that, I will wait until I can get it from MS - too much nonsense these days to mess with simulators.

Just installed, in about 30 minutes. No issues so far, seems pretty smooth.

Does anyone know if it is possible to install the SP2 in safe mode?

Do you need to remove an older version of the SP2 if that was installed before installing this? Build 6002 to be specific.
