Windows Vista 64 bit for Crysis

Already on 64-bit for security reasons. From the demo, I could see wanting lots of RAM (and a great video card).

Yeah 4 GB of ram is a must and the only way to get good use out of it is to use a 64 bit OS! Did you keep the annoying UAC enabled ?

Do cheetahs have spots? Is the Pope Catholic? Don't be silly, of COURSE I have UAC enabled 😛 And SRP as well. Dangerous world nowdays... make your Windows wear its seatbelt.

BTW the poll needs a "I am already on 64-bit Vista anyway" option.

I voted no, but only because I went to Vista 64 for other reasons. But, if Crysis does run better on 64-bit machines even better!

Just switched to vista 64 saturday. Not for crysis though. I'm not sure how it would run on my old 750GT KO Superclocked card.

Already have Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

Crysis demo works great on my Q6600 G0 stepping @3.2GHz (356x9), 2GB Crucial DDR2-1066 @ 2.2V, eVGA 8800GTS 640mb system I built early Sept.

I dual boot XP and Vista 64. In DX-9 mode with the Nvidia 169.04 drivers XP and Vista perform pretty much equally. In DX-10 mode, Vista suffers a 20% performance loss. This is with high settings at 1920x1080 in both XP and Vista. I get 26FPS in XP and 25 in Vista, and drop down to 20 with DX10 enabled in Vista. With very high settings in Vista, even the intro movie is a slide show at 8fps.
