I'm not really sure this topic belongs here but here goes.

I am doing a project for my daughter's boyfriend (probably more than you want to know) and it entails putting a video on CD that can be read on an Apple MacIntosh. I can put the video onto CD alright from my Windows 2000 Pro(OS included in case it makes a difference) computer. I have the ability to create Windows Media Player format and convert that to RealPlayer format and vice versa. I would like to know if RealPlayer format is compatible with an Apple based computer? If not, is there a way of converting Windows Media Player or RealPlayer format to something that an Apple can read?

I do not know what model Apple it is, for anyone curious.

TIA

I failed to mention that the original save, to digital from the camcorder, is MPG format.

MPEG is not a Windows-specific format (at least not MPEG1 and MPEG2).
There should be programs available on Mac that can view them. I'm not
sure about MPEG4 though... they seem to be embedded in AVI files for
some reason... what's up with that?
