Windows updates won't install

Hi.

I have a new install of XP Home on a newly-built computer. I installed my anti-virus (Trend Micro PC-Cillin Internet Security 2007) and everything was good. I had some other problems that resulted in me re-installing Windows. After the new install, I downloaded the updates. Problem is is that they won't install. I tried disabling the anti-virus but they still won't install. I also have Spyware Blaster installed. I disabled that as well and the updates still won't install.

Anyone have any ideas?

Are you getting any error codes from Windows Update?

No, none at all. It just says that the updates could not be installed.
