windows updates don't work?

I just insalled XP Pro, and i go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and click "search for updates" and there are none.

what the heck?
i had some activation problems but i called and now it is activated, so what's up?

Dude, I feel your pain. I posted about the same problem a couple weeks ago and still haven't solved it. Anyone with help is appreciated.

I may be wrong but I think when you install the OS and if you are connected to the internet it may D/L the updates automatically, Again I may be wrong?

SP1 won't be publically available until 9-9 so it's pretty safe to say you don't have it. 🙂

*PROBLEM FIXED**

Aircooled: here is the solution

my year was 2019 (no idea how, brand new install)

so the certificate became not valid in 2004, therefore it wouldn't work hahahaha
