That's after i tell it to install the ActiveX control. It take 30 secs and then gives me the we're sorry page and that error. Help 🙂

Googled for that error code. Found that you need to install the ActiveX component. (Edit of stupid question.) Do you have anything that would block ActiveX components?

You googled better than i did. Not a thing... This is a fresh install. I think I shall rebuild and see what happens...

 
Why not try downloading the full install version of SP2 (sometimes called the admin version, the network install, the network admin version, etc) and install that way?
