windows update keeps downloading old vid driver

windows auto update downloads an older driver version then i currently have. the comp has S3 graphics with the most current driver. windows keeps finding a S3 driver from 2003. i dont know how to stop it without turning off auto updates. i went to windows update site site and checked "hide this update" but every time i start the comp the auto update finds it. its really starting to drive me crazy.
