Windows Update Fails w/ Error Code 80246002

This is happening to a number of computers at my office. Any update attempt from Windows Update fails immediately and the error code given is 80246002 in the installation history. There was pretty much nothing with this code on google. If anybody else has seen and fixed it, I'd love to know how. Thx 🙂
 
Thanks for the tip but we're not. It turns out Windows Update is down for the entire office. I wonder if they a port in one of the frequent updates they've been doing to the Windows Update site and it's no longer able to get through our firewall. I'll continue to research and I'll update the thread if I find anything conclusive.
 
Hi, I am also getting that annoying error code 80246002 !
I tried the way on the video which said click on notepad and type :

net stop wuauserv

cd %systemroot%\softwareDistribution

ren Download Download.old

net start wuauserv

And then it said to save it to your desktop as all files and name it "rename.bat" in which I did ,then it said to right click it and open it as administrator and click yes in which I did but still I am getting that error code.

If I had an idea of what this error code belongs to I could fix it but nowhere's online tells what this error code is can someone please help
