windows timed/trigger shutdown

is there a script that can shutdown windows after a certain time has elapsed or after a certain program is finished?

let's say I'm downloading files or running a query and i have to leave the office. is there a script that can check to see if the program is done and if so, shutdown windows? or perhaps i can tell it when to shut down (input time)?

Poweroff or you can shutdown the computer from the commandline using a specific countdown.

i'll try poweroff... but windows has a shutdown command? can you tell me what it is?
