I've been having this annoying problem I use the windows classic theme that I have customized but every 3-4 boots it changes back to the original windows XP theme but my wallpaper is the same this has became an inconvenience as I have to reset it. I've tried deleting the theme making a new one saving them all sorts of things but it's just keeps bugging the crap out of me I need to get it fixed also when I boot it goes to my desktop than I see my welcome screen blink than go back to the desktop.

I have a feeling something is changed I also had to do a system repair when a partitions tool built into linux messed up my partitions. It may also be TweakUI some program I downloaded for customizing windows I think it was made by Microsoft and it is built into the system32 folder.

I am in a dire need of fixing this problem as It's annoying the shiet out of me :|

Thanks

I don't think TweakUI really repair the issue related to the services automatically enable on your OS startup. My suggestion is go thru the service in the startup list and remove the check mark which you think they are not really necessary for you to have. Then manually go thru the software folder from the registry under HKEY and software.
Good luck! :)

What are you taking about?

I was saying a TweakUI may have changed a setting causing this issue.

so disabling the theme service will keep it from changing? I think I may of fixed it but if it happens again I will do this. I had a backup reg file so I tried that and I downloaded a modified uxtheme.dll file.

Hopefully it fixed the problem if it doesn't hopefully disabling the theme service will work.

Thanks
