I recently purchased the core components of the Anandtech budget system. This includes the Asus A7N8X-X mobo, AMD XP 2000+ CPU, and 256MB Crucial PC2100 (DDR266) ram. I used the cdrom, hard drive, and floppy from an existing computer I had. (An old Dell 233mhz PII system) I also used an ancient video card with 2mb ram. Upon attempting to boot to Windows 2000 Server I encountered a blue screen of death that read "STOP: 0x0000007B Inaccessible Boot Device". So I look this error up, and I don't know what to do. I can't identify the cause from the list of errors. No new software was added, and the computer was working fine until I upgraded to the new mobo/cpu/ram. I don't see how this could be a virus, and at least three of those causes involve installing software which I did not do.
Also the Mobo detects my XP 2000+ at 1250mhz, but it should be 1670. I've read this may be due to the front side bus being set lower then it should. If anyone could give me correct settings for my mobo I'd appreciate it. The only option I see to change the FSB is external frequency which the manual states is multiplied by two in order to get the FSB speed. It's currently set at 100mhz.
I would certainly appreciate any advice from the forumgoers here, Thanks!
