Windows Small Business Server 2003

Hi, I'm in the middle of setting up SBS and I need to use Dynamic DNS to allow remote access/administration. I use Namesco Ltd for email and webhosting and need to keep my domain name with them. How do I setup my server ready for remote access? .local the recomended setting I understand can't be used because it's not legal on the net. Can I use the same .com as my website with ajustments to the DNS records pointing web and mail to my Namesco account and remote access to my server or do I need to register another domain name for my server?

It would be useful if I could access my website via .com and server via server.xxxxxxxx.com

I don't know about other dynamic IP programs, but if you use DNS2Go it might do what you want, depends on your hosting company. If your hosting company will allow you to access your website through their DNS record, say www.hostingco.com/martyn365, then it should work.

There are other IP redirection services where you just use their DNS record, say martyn365.redirectionco.com and it will redirect that to your server. If you are looking for a way to perform administration only, this would work. If you want users to have remote access I wouldn't go this route -- may be a bit confusing for them.
