When I had my Windows 2000 installation, anybody who tried to access a file or something which was "shared" by Windows on the LAN would be prompted for a username and a password.
I actually like this...even though I "share" things sometimes, I'd rather be the only one able to access my data on the LAN I'm on. I don't want others accessing my data.
Now that I'm using Windows XP Pro, I can't figure out how to get Windows to demand a password before someone can access my shared data...
Anybody have any ideas? I know in 2000, it's all about the users and permissions... In XP, it doesn't seem to care: if I'm sharing, it'll let anybody in. I really would like to be a bit more secure than that.
Help/thoughts/ideas/solutions appreciated.
