Since you can't use it to force installs on client systems, what are some advantages of using it? The only one I can really see is you cut down on the amount of downloads from outside your network, as only one box is retreiving patches from MSFT. And I guess you can restrict which systems get which patches?

Other comments on WSUS?

Yes you can, and you can also pick which updates you would like to do, as well as what time they get installed.

It reduces bandwidth since you download the patches once.

It allows you to test a patch before rolling it out vs. autoupdates.

It DOES let you force install.

edit: if you have a server and, say more than 5 PCs it'll definatly save you time as well (vs. manual updates).
