Hi everyone

So, I'm trying to download windows server 2012 essentials from Microsoft to try it out. The download is from Microsoft themselves but as a direct ISO, not using their download manager.

Anyway, when trying to download directly from internet explorer it hangs after a min or two (latest version, windows 7, core i7 desktop) at like 850kb/s where it would usually fluctuate up and down and stays there not downloading.

In chrome it does download but at 2GB~ it thinks its finished and that's it.

So I tried a program called Free Download Manager. This seems to be doing the trick up until 99% where it stops. Even after leaving on for a few days, nothing. I have tried the same on another PC I have with the same results.

Also an odd thing I saw was that in the download manager it shows you all the blocks of data as small squares...well one isn't shaded and on the other computer its the same block. The 31st block in if that helps.

I've also dome some Google'ing but none of the suggested fixes work.

Does anyone have any idea why?

The link is here if anyone wants to try:

Thanks!
