Windows Server 2012 Drivers are different than regular drivers?

The other day I tried installing Windows Server 2012 on my ASUS G75VW notebook but the drivers did not work.

I did ensure that I am using the Windows 8 drivers but still

are the Windows Server drivers different or am I doing something wrong here?

My Wireless Card Chipset is Atheros AR9485

The exact error would help....

2012 I am pretty sure doesn't have all the wireless support enabled out of the box. I'll look at one of mine in a few and see but I pretty sure there is a feature or role that needs to be turned on.

--edit--

Is the "Wireless LAN Service" feature turned on?
