It can but a lot of non-MS software is broken like, Quicktime for example (I swear there is a MS employee somewhere who has the job of finding ways to break Quicktime with each new windows release). I could however get my Logitech Elite Duo drivers working by running them in XP compatability mode, so a lot of apps should be made to work that way. The core of the OS seems a bit peppier in day to day tasks (which bodes well for Longhorn) and Mozilla literally screams. Plus it is kinda nice to have a MS operating system that is locked down by default, requiring you to turn on everything you need. (Meaning you don't have to turn off a bunch of crap you don't need from the get go).

did you have to do anything to get your logitech drivers to work in win2k3? it doesn't seem to like the logitech mouseware drivers at all. it just says it can't work with this version of windows and exits setup.

note: you may want to turn these off. in system properties:
1. automatic updates: i like to do it myself, thank you
2. under advanced tab - error reporting. this setting reports all your system info to ms! :|
