windows scripting host error.

Every time I double click on an mpg/mpeg, I get a little error window with Wscript Error as the title and the message " There is no script engine for file extension .mpeg"

What is causing this? I use Xing as my default viewer for mpg's, and I can still launch Xing and then open the mpg through that, but that's a pain in the ass. Can anyone help?
