I turned on my computer, and i double clicked my D: drive to get a file, and windows says, "Drive Is Not Formatted, Would You Like To Format?" This drive has all my files on it, and i cannot afford to lose its contents. What happened? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I've had a problem like that before. Try looking for a software recovery program and recover all the stuff on that drive to another one. Once your data is safe, you could safely reformat the drive if Windows still insists...

Just a word of caution: Keep an up-to-date backup of the data you recover, just in case the drive's hardware fails next.
