Question Windows Reset Lost Bookmarks

So when I reset Windows I checked that files should be saved. Now I can't find any bookmarks/favs anywhere. Are they gone or hiding somewhere? Thanks.

Hopefully you haven't told Windows to do a cleanup yet.

IIRC you can find other 'saved' files in C:\Windows.old\Users\yourusername.
Microsoft has an 'interesting' point of view of what constitutes valid app data, ie. theirs.

If we're talking about Edge/Chrome metadata though, without syncing it with the cloud you might be in for some disappointment. Chrome has a bookmarks file which is easy enough to grab and drop into a new Chrome profile, but I don't know how to grab the rest (e.g. saved passwords) short of a cloud sync beforehand (though Chrome's passwords can be exported to csv beforehand). If anyone else knows, please enlighten me!
