windows requires a digitally signed driver

I'm trying to install my x-fi sound drivers and I get this pop up about 6 times. Last time I got this today I had to repair windows. What can I do?

Are you running Windows Vista x64? If so, give this a try, report back either way.

You'll need to open an elevated command prompt (Command Prompt in the start menu and then "Run as Administrator")

Once you have that opened, copy this line in there:

bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

Then restart the computer when that's done. Remember, report back.

EDIT: Might have only worked for beta. If it doesn't work, then use this line to restore the way it was:

bcdedit -deletevalue loadoptions

I just gave up and I'm wiping my hard drive and going to reinstall windows (hope I can with my recovery disk that came with the computer originall). I dont feel like hunting down drivers that work. I'll a while before i upgrade to vista I suppose. Thanks for the help though.

The X-Fi drivers have been out and working, for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, for quite some time now.
No need to disable driver check.
I have an X-Fi card and have Vista 64-bit and do not get that error when installing X-Fi drivers.
