Windows reporting wrong file size for Red Hat download

When I closed the download to Red Hat Linux the dialogue box said that the files were 650mb give or take a few. Now windows is reporting them as 300mb, again give or take a few. I thought that mabey it was just reporting the lengths wrong, but Nero says that the block size doesn't correspond with the image length. I burned the disk anyway, but it doesn't work. I checked where the burner wrote on the disk, and it looks like it just wrote the 300mb length and not the 650mb. How can I fix this. I really don't feel like downloading it again. Oh yeah, I kept track of the files when i was downloading them, and I know I downloaded all 650mb of the files.

Misreported file sizes happen a lot with the FAT(32) system. Does running scandisk do anything for you?

Could be that the browser wrote the file size entry before downloading and died somewhere while retrieving the file...

Did you use IE, Netscape or an actual FTP program to download the files? What is the file size given under properties. If Windows is reporting the file size as 300MB under properties you're going to have to download it again.
