Ive recently obtained an error in my - ntoskrnl.exe -, suggesting me to 'repair or reinstall' my Win2kPro... My question is, Can I repair Windows without having to reformat? Ive never used the 'Windows Repair' feature, so I do not know what kind of effect it will have over my entire system...
If you are interested, I started getting this error after defragging my hd... Yes I know it's strange, and I have no idea how this could have come about.... I also believe this error is preventing me from being able to 'overclock' my 'underclocked' processor, since I receive this error when trying to up my fbs from 100-133.

Thank you for any help.

This means when windows (err.. NTLDR I guess) was looking for the kernel it couldnt find it.

theres a possibility that just the kernel went missing, but more than likely, in my experience:

A) hardrive is corrupt, OR
B) boot.ini is pointing ntldr to the wrong partition.

A repair should just replace any broken Windows files, everything else should be fine.

If you got this after overclocking it makes perfect sense. Something is being strained too much which results in corrupt data, you may be able to just clock it back down and boot up fine.

Try EzBoot
Worked for me when I needed it most :)

You wil have to register in order to download it tho' AND need a floppy drive... (btw: I am NT promoting the site in any way ^.^)

Good Luck!
