Have you enabled remote connections for the computer you are connecting to?

Start > Settings > Control Panel > System
Click the "Remote" tab and see if you have the "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer" checked. Also verify you have the accounts setup that can connect to the computer.

Which version of Windows are you using?
 
The host of the RDP session needs to be at least XP Pro, plus the account you want to log in with needs a password.
