Ok, every time i boot up, I get an error with my system registry... I essentially have to boot 3 times... windows loads an old registry and then starts again...

I recently installed ie6 and all these problems occured... I run win98se.. Windows tells me to "type scanreg /fix" in the command prompt.. everytime i do this, it has loaded the good registry and says that the registry is ok...

how can i break the cycle and fix the registry?
