Hi guys.i seem to have a wierd problem. I have a 40gig hd that i have partitioned into several drives. Ive been running out of space on a couple of them, so ive been mvoing files around to other drives. The thing is, its moving the files to the other drive, and they're fine once they've moved-the only thing is, that the drive ive just moved it from is not reporting the increase in available space, and it keeps telling me that im running low on space on them. On top of this, is that its happened on two of my partitioned drives now.
Any ideas......are the FAT corrupt??...strange that it would happen on two of the drives.
Running Win XP prof.
No viruses.......
never happened b4......
.....im a gateway computer for others in my house, and they do have shared access to folders on my drive. Also, I was reading and writing a lot to the same drive which was also being read and written to by another computer on the house network when the low disk space warning was given. I therefore moved a movie to another drive just after this, and this is when it first didnt report the change in available disk space!!??
???????????
cheerz!!
