I do the computer stuff for a company and Ive got a problem that I can find no end and I must solve. A select few machine here must run windows 2000 and raid (mirroring) and I always get an error that the file IASTOR.SYS is corrupt during install. Its not hardware. It only wont work in windows 2000, XP and Vista are totaly fine even with the SAME disk . Ive used many differnt floppies and drives and the problem is reproducable on three machines with differnt motherboards but the same chipset. Ive tried using other sata ports as well. They all use the Intel P35 and are all differnt brand. I have no issue with nvidia based motherboard so its not like there is a differnt or extra step Im missing Ive done the reinstall a 100 times its my job. Ive also tried using the driver cd, newest from msi and intel "generic" for drivers but nothing will change same error. Ive even tried slipstreaming the drivers. Everything Ive found searching is the same "you got a bad floppy" and basic stuff that I did b4 I even hit the web. Thanks in advance
