I recieved aDell laptop that was loaded with trojans and spyware. After eliminateing the malware. THE COMPUTER WILL NOT ACCESS ALL SITES. Anand's front page the top banner will not come up and the left ad will not display. The other flash ads are fine. Google is a no go and other pages with flash or Java have a proablem.

It makes no difference wheather it ia IE or Firefox the proablem is the same.

Thats the problem with removing adware , sometimes in the process of doing it you can break other things.

I may be wrong, but those would seem to be functions built into your browser?
Perhaps if you upgraded to IE7 It would straighten itself out.
Just a thought.
