Ok. to make long story short.
I put two hard drives on the system that I built for my sister.
One is 80gb and the other is 250GB both are SATA from Western Digital.
When I install Windows it got installed to the 250 GB. I want the 80GB to be the primary. 250GB will only be for storage. So I abort the installation after I found out that it's installing to the 250GB. After shutting off the system, I swap the cables on the motherboard. Windows XP home got installed on the 80GB with no problem.
Now when I go into my computer it only shows 80gb hard drive there. no 250GB anywhere.
It shows during booting, in Bios, and device manager. it even said this device is working properly. But it's no where to be found under my computer.

What did I do wrong? Help....

Download the correct software off Western Digital's website. I think WD calls theirs Data Lifeguard Tools. Run it, and voila! There you go.

You have to go to disk management, and partition and format the drive before it will show up. Go to control panel, administrative tools, computer management, disk management.

Thanks guys. I kind of thought of it after I posted it.
I knew I ran into this problem before.
