I'm shocked no one has posted this yet.

Summary: The version of Windows for ARM devices will be called Windows on ARM (WOA). It will only be sold to OEMs for use in approved ARM devices, and sold as a complete package. It will have a desktop, but app developers won't be able to publish non-Metro applications. It's basically the Windows equivalent of iOS.

No one should be surprised by any of this. The only thing I wasn't really expecting was the presence of the desktop for Office, but it makes sense if they want any businesses to consider the things.

I'll never own one. They may be useful in the enterprise market if they do it right, but time will tell.
