Windows NT 4 Server PDC to a New Windows 2000 Server PDC

Hello Everyone,

I'm running into alittle problem which I can't figure out nor have the expertise in this topic. We have a Primary Domain Controller that is running Windows NT 4 Server with about 400 users and the server is fairly old and needs an upgrade. My question is how do I transfer the existing users from the old Primary domain controllers to a new server running Windows 2000 Server that I'd like to make into the New Primary domain controller without having to manually add the users back into the new server?? I would greatly appreciate any feedback / help I can get from this.

You have two options: upgrade your existing server to 2000, which will preserve all the user accounts, or create a new domain on a separate server running 2000 and use ADMT to migrate the users over.
