I notice that my cd-rom drive does not appear when I reboot. I see my cd-rom drive in my bios but windows xp doesn't see it until I add it manually which gets very annoying. I can't remember when this all started because I usually leave my computer on 24/7 but that once I rebooted, I noticed the problem. So I tried look for the drivers but no luck. I don't understand why sony site doesn't have it. It was an oem drive when I got it so.... yeah. Anyone have similar problems?

If you only have a two drive combination.. A good rule of thumb is to always have the hard disk as a master and any optical drives as slaves. Its worth a shot.

It appeared to me that my drivers were corrupted so I reinstall xp2 and it fixed it. It was difficult to find the driver over the internet.
