Is it possible to rename a computer connected to a domain from a remote location without interfering or being logged directly onto the computer itself?

I'm not looking for remote administration utilities such as vnc or remote desktop.

I'm looking for a solution such as a MMC computer management snap-in or the like. Is there any way to do this?
