Windows Movie Maker crashes when music is added?

At my neighbor's house and we're trying to make a movie, but everytime we try to drag the music (mp3) thing into the work-bar the program has this error (send error report/don't send type thing) and closes
any ideas what the problem is? we can add movies/pictures just fine, but not music
any ideas how to fix? thanks

WMM crashes for me in less than 30 seconds no matter what I do with it.

Use a third party software man, WMM is a POS.

I would, but this isn't my computer and it's a very simple movie that needs to be made... and WMM is all I need, nothing fancy
