Windows Mobile Device Center - Not syncing contacts

I just hard reset my Samsung SCH i760 phone. I am using vista 64. When I sync up my phone, it doesn't sync my contacts or calendar stuff at all to my phone anymore. I have both those boxes checked in Mobile Device Center. Any ideas?

Tick the options in active sync on the phone itself.

Do you have Outlook installed?

edit: Not just installed, but set up?

Uncheck them, let it sync, then check them again.

mine tells me some nonsense about outlook...definitely not getting another WM phone.
