hey, I just reinstalled XP, and now when I click to start windows messenger, it gives me the hourglass for a couple seconds, but then nothing happens...
Are you sure you even want it? Or are you referring to MSN Messenger as PhaZe suggested?
If you would like to remove Windows Messenger, edit this file
WinNT\Inf\Syoc.inf
Delete the word "hide" at the end of the Msgr line. You'll now be able to use Add\Remove to change what Windows components are installed. De-select Windows Messenger, and it will be removed.
