for some odd reason, my computer has been acting up lately. Norton AV wouldnt work, Outlook Express Lags when I open it. and now Windows Messenger doesnt work. It used to automatically start when I opened Outlook Express, but now I it refuses to. Does anyone have any idea why it will not open. And also does anyone know why Outlook Express will "Hang" for about 2 minutes before opening? It does this once in a while for maybe a week or so then goes back to being fast.

for msn to load when OE does go to tools>options the gernal automaticaly sign in windows messenger,
is OE just hangs there try to defrag ur C drive thats the only adivice i could give you

When was the last time you tried scanning for viruses, and how recent were the data files in Norton AV last time you ran the scan? First thing I would try is running a virus scan on the system. If you can't get Norton AV to work, try running a scan online at a place such as here. That way you'll at least be able to see if there are any viruses on your system even without being albe to load Norton AV. From what you're saying it sounds like you may have a virus on your system.

I did the housecall thing too. It found nothing. My Messenger works now, and Outlook Express loads quickly again. I dont know what is going on but I can promise you that it will happen again.....
