windows messenger claims to be 4 gigs in size in add/remove programs

this is for xp home sp1a w/ all current updates. should it be 4 gigs in add remove programs? I just got gaim and am using that for MSN instead and was thinking if I could uninstall MSN messenger and Windows Messenger it might be good (already got rid of AIM) but unfortunately I am afraid these are integrated into the OS too much - is that a groundless fear or what? sorry I'm a little clueless... TIA 😀
 
it's probably not 4gb's ... ive seen similar things with other programs on various machines. I wouldnt worry about it
