Windows Memory Diagnostic tool freezes and makes BitLocker ask for recovery key

Hello. I have Windows 10 Pro. My computer started to freeze up for no reason. I was using a Windows Insider build. Once the freezing started I installed the normal version and installed the latest updates. Computer still was freezing so I decided to run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool. I ran the extended version. It seemed like it was stuck on 21%, so I hit ESC to cancel the scan and when I did BitLocker came up wanting the recovery key. I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool 2 or 3 times more and every time I hit ESC BitLocker wants the recovery key. Why would the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool make BitLocker ask for the recovery key?
