Windows Media Streaming crashed Linksys BEFW11S4

So I just installed a BEFW11S4 @ my parents house, and upon navigating to CNN.com, noticed that opening ANY video crashed the router. All traffic cutoff.

I called my friend, who has the same router, to test it, and it crashed his too.

I tried a bunch of other WMP streams, and they all crashed it too.

I never really use streaming video at home, where I have the same router, and the same thing happen.

All three routers are running the latest firmware.


Does anybody have a fix?

I have had trouble while setting up an employee of ours at home with wireless. It wasn't surfing that caused the crashing it was whenever he was trying to VPN to the office. The solution for that was a simple firmware upgrade. Also for better assistance on this topic I would try the Linksys forums.

try 1.50.14 firmware...very stable
