Windows Media Player

If you are using an older version, there is a known bug...upgrade to the latest version.

This is occuring on two new builds of XP. I've installed all different codecs and updated to Media Player 9. I downloaded the Classic player and installed ffdshow now that system plays all of the video files from the HDD and disc but if I go to MSN or any other site all of the videos still won't play 😕

WMP9 is the version with the bug you describe, and otherwise a huge POS IMO.

I'd suggest upgrading to WMP11, as it is far better without even considering the bug fix. (WMP10 should also work fine)

WOW.. how could you have installed all the updates without WMP11 auto installing? This is interesting to me..
