Windows Media Player skipping on some computers?

I made a video and encoded it in WMV9, at 800kbps, and distributed it to a lot of different people. It seems that the people with older computers (but even with up to date software) have stuttering/skipping when they try to view it. I tried to encode another one at 300kbps, but it was reportedly even worse. It runs fine on all the faster computers I know of. Does anyone know of a cure for this?

Thanks.

Well I may be crazy, but all facts point to one solution for those having problems:

USE A FASTER COMPUTER

Well that's not a controllable factor. Something other than the computer must be changed to solved the problem.
